INVESTMENT CLIMATE OF THE LENINGRAD REGION ASSESSMENT OF AEB
According to a survey carried out by The Association of European Businesses – AEB, representatives of business community highly appreciate the investment climate of the Leningrad Region. Chairman of the North-Western Regional Committee of The Association of European Businesses, Director of Quality Partners Andreas Bitzi, during presentation of the results of annual survey among AEB members on satisfaction with the investment climate in the Leningrad Region.
Half of the respondents engaged in the entrepreneurial activities in the Leningrad Region, in 2018, rated the investment climate of the Region as “good”, 29% rated it as “neutral”, 21% rated it as “excellent”, no negative comments on the investment climate were left.
At the same time, 86% of respondents expressed their willingness to further invest in the Region, which, according to Andreas Bitzi, is a record-breaking figure.
St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region are the largest transport hub in North-West Russia, which distributes import flows to nearby economic regions, to the rest of Russia, and then to Asia.
