Leningrad Region is in the top 5 regions with minimal risks for investors

According to the rating of investment attractiveness of the regions of Russia, prepared by the rating agency Expert RA, the Leningrad Region was included in the top five regions with the best investment climate.

As the head of the region, Alexandr Drozdenko, pointed out, the study noted the financial stability of the region, which suggests that consistent work to reduce the credit burden on the budget in the region, reducing the state debt yields its results:

“Business comes to the Leningrad Region, develops its production facilities here, and our financial confidence gives us the opportunity to support investors via tax incentives and subsidies for small companies.”

The head of the region also added that the study notes minimal risks in financial sphere in the region among all subjects of the Russian Federation. Among the components of investment potential of the region its infrastructural security is noted too.

“High level of investment attractiveness of the Leningrad Region following the results of last year was also noted in the National rating of investment climate in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. For the first time, the Leningrad Region is among the ten constituent entities of the Russian Federation most attractive for investors, where it gained the 9th place. In 2018, investments in the Province economy amounted to 466.9 billion rubles,” said Drozdenko.
