HOW SOON CAN I START CONSTRUCTION ON MY SITE?
After the land purchase agreement is signed, the boundary survey begins, then title to the land is registered, and the land is transferred to the Buyer. The process takes approximately 2.5-3 months to complete. Once your ownership is registered, you may start construction work on the site. However, before starting the construction, you will need to complete an engineering survey, prepare project design documents and obtain a building permit. The survey will take about 1-2 months and, up to a certain point, it can run concurrently with project design work, which takes at least 3 months. If an expert opinion is required for the project, this will take another 1-2 months. A building permit is issued within 7 business days. Engineering survey and design work can be started right after you sign the agreement and take possession of the land parcel under a deed of transfer (normally, 1 month of the date of signing). Therefore, if no expert opinion needs to be obtained, you will be able to start construction in 4.5 months (transfer of the site: 1 month; design work: 3 months; obtaining a building permit: 7 business days).
